The Caribe Wave 2019 training was organized in March by the Crisis Bureau of Aruba, with a participation of a total of 29 organizations. The tourism and commercial sector were very well represented in the training. Red Cross Aruba participated with a total of 36 volunteers. The Red Cross emergency vehicles were transported to a safe location and also personnel was evacuated vertically, on the highest floor of the building.
A Red Cross team was part of the simulation at the Barcelo Hotel. They worked there with the emergency team of the hotel and helped evacuate guests and personnel.
All organizations should continue getting prepared in case of an emergency. Better prepared, than sorry!
